Daughtry+ Jupiter = Success

Chris Daughtry, the rocker who came fourth in American Idol in 2006, is currently doing rather better than the singer who won the title, Taylor Hicks. Chris and his band "Daughtry" have an album entitled "Home", in the charts. The title song was written by Chris himself and has become the band's second top 5 single, according to Wikipedia.

Chris was born 26 December 1979 in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. Capricorn Sun, with Neptune and Mercury conjoined in Sagittarius - an excellent start for a singer/songwriter! Business sense and common sense from Capricorn, wide ranging imagination and the ability to communicate it from Mercury/ Neptune in Sagittarius.

Mars, Saturn and Jupiter all lie in sensible, work oriented Virgo. I wouldn't expect Chris to go the way of some rockers - he'll be too disciplined to need re-hab, I'd guess. Venus in Aquarius and Moon probably in Aries add a touch of something a little more adventurous to his personality. He'll always be sensible, but never boring!

I'm not surprised he has been doing so well. Transiting Jupiter has, until quite recently been conjunct his natal Neptune/Mercury at 19/20 Sagittarius. Jupiter will be back for another visit in the autumn too, so even more success is likely for Chris and his band.

Thanks for the explanation.
All this time I thought the fact that AI and RCA had spent a ton of money promoting Chris with heavy marketing of his singles, video support, and of course using one of his songs every week on the show plus commercials had something to do with his sales figures.

So guess the explanation for Taylor only going platinum completely on his own , which by any measure other than the AI yardstick would be impressive, just means his horoscope sucks.
Doesn't have a thing to do with AI and Arista spending almost nothing promoting his CD, not having a single released for airplay until 2 Months after the album came out, the only video being one shot at a band rehearsal for his tour, and of course nothing at all to do with the fact that the AI powers have both insulted and ignored him on the show, and have even gone so far as to personally trash talk him in the media. Even on the finale TPTB were so childishly petty that his performance was the only one not announced.
But it is all really just in the stars, thanks I feel so much better.
[actually I'm betting on the Karma wheel in the long run :)]

Hi Observer

Yes, I do realise that there's a lot more to it than the astrology -but that still does not negate the idea that Chris was "in a lucky streak" possibly courtesy of Jupiter. He gained lots of continuing support, just at the right time.

I'm not a Daughtry fan myself. I much prefer Taylor Hicks' style, and suspect that his career will last a lot longer than Chris Daughtry's.
